285: Someone is talking about out you
Understand the atoms that make up your reputation
Someone is describing you right now. Not to your face.
In a meeting room, a chat thread, a conversation over coffee. Three or four words. Formed from moments you’ve probably forgotten.
You aren’t there. You can’t correct it. The version of you being described may have very little to do with who you actually are.
Most professionals have no idea what their reputation really is. They know how hard they’ve worked. They don’t know if any of that is visible to the people who matter.
That gap is where your career growth can quietly stall.
Understanding your real reputation is where personal brand actually starts.
