Now - August 2026

I'm still living in Dublin, Ireland. I love my space here. I can see the sea from my living room and I'm surrounded by my records and books.

• I started an email newsletter six years ago called "Stuff that MattR's", it has evolved into a great way of sharing career and development advice to a growing list of curious people.
• I'm currently unemployed after being laid off by Meta - and I'm happily exploring what is next - get in touch if you'd like to discuss something.
• In 2026, I will be posting new music nearly every day to a list on spotify. I did the same in 2025, 2024 and 2023.
• In July, I built and launched oblique.cards - a service designed to give you a nudge when you are stuck on a career challenge.
• I launched a new site called onceposted.com - a space to share a collection of beautiful vintage postcards that I have collected for years. I'm very proud of how it looks, and how many people seem to enjoy it.
• I run a 30-day journalling challenge. A free service to help you start your journaling practice.
• To help my own journalling practice, I've write Weeknotes on my blog, inspired by Giles Turnbull - Doing Weeknotes
• I just launched startwriting.now a frictionless journaling app that reduces procrastination and gets you journaling quickly. Here's why I did this.
• I still DJ a little bit, all of my DJ Mixes are available here, the latest and best is The Stack #11.
• I compile and update an every growing list of music for focus and relaxation - it's called FlowStuff and you can find it here!
