Updates

A beautiful week in Dublin - shirtsleeve weather all week, and the beach in Killiney was packed out most evenings.

The interminable lay-off process is continuing, and things are starting to look clearer now. I'll definitely be leaving Meta, and I'm making plans about what is next as I go.

Highlight of the week was a trip to Marlay Park to see The Cure playing on Friday night. It was a stunning evening, 40000 people enjoying the park with the Cure coming on stage at 20.30. Over two hours later, wed had a journey through their discography and an awful lot of fun along the way. My pictures are here.

Quiz night was a loss for us this week - a tough evening, but we'll be bouncing back next week. The Mighty Atoms are mid-table at the mid-point of the season, so we're OK.

Reading. I started The Future of Truth by Werner Herzog this week and I'm enjoying the first few chapters.

This week, something new.

'Now Claims My Timid Heart' is the new album from Aris Kindt, a US based duo named for a criminal captured in a Rembrandt painting.

These are ambient, downtempo soundscapes with a complex, cinematic sound. I've had this on repeat this week, and I urge you to give it a try.

Highly Recommended.
