The 3P Theory: How to Build Resilience in difficult times

This week has been a difficult one at work, with more layoffs impacting my company, and many others in the tech industry. I used this framework to coach myself and others as they were dealing with the situation.

The three Ps—Personalisation, Pervasiveness, and Permanence—explain why people struggle with setbacks and how they can develop greater resilience.

If you tend to overthink mistakes, dwell on negative experiences, or feel stuck after a failure, the 3P theory can help you break free.

In this article, I explain how the 3P framework can help - and use it to describe some daily strategies you can use to build your resilience.
