#70 - From Spain
Updates
I'm still in Spain - the warm weather is doing a good job.
Entering our final week in Spain, and once again my time has mostly been absorbed in the layoff process from my role.
Alongside the consultation process, I've also been helping others that are impacted by running some coaching sessions to help people navigate their next steps and process the emotions that come out of this kind of event.
It's been a massively rewarding way to give back something to a group that have been impacted, and I've been enjoying it.
Alongside work - we took an afternoon in nearby Cartagena for tapas and a stroll around the ancient city - its a lovely place to visit and only 30 minutes away from our place.
On Wednesday I played for the quiz team and we had a decent result to reverse a few weeks of narrow losses, I was pleased to contribute well to the scoring.
Reading. Still searching for something to read next - I enjoyed John of John and it's taken me a while to process that story.
Recommended Music
This week, the new album from Japanese post-rock group 'Mono'.
Snowdrop is packed full of complex arrangements, with strings and piano melding with the guitar led sound of the four-piece. The result is some beautiful building anthems.
I went to see Mono earlier this year in Dublin, and they are an excellent act live - this album just adds to the catalogue of massive tracks that they can perform.
Highly Recommended.
10 Bands/Artists I listened to this week.

- Thomas Feiner
- Poppy Ackroyd
