#69 - From Spain

#69 - From Spain

Updates

I'm still in Spain - the warm weather is doing a good job.

We spent a couple of days in Almeria this week, a nice hotel, some excellent Tapas and an afternoons relaxation in a spa hotel. Just what the therapist ordered!

I am working while in Spain, but the majority of my time has been engaged with the consultation process for my role. It's not fun, but it's important that I get clarity on the questions I have, and understand how the lay-off process works.

I've come to peace with the fact that I'll probably be leaving Meta, and I've coached myself into seeing the opportunity that gives me.

The rhythm of our life in Spain is different to Ireland, we get up a bit later, have slower mornings and then I can work from about 11am local time until meetings are finished. I can squeeze in time for writing and planning in those important morning hours when my mind is at its best.

Reading. I finished the excellent John of John by Douglas Stuart, and I have no other book with me - I think it's time to connect the Kindle back up!

This week, the return of a previous favourite - with the new album by Fink.

"The City is Coming to Erase It All" is the new release from Fin Greenall, an English singer and songwriter. I've been a fan for a while, and love the laid back, slightly blues-y voice - and the finger picking guitar style.

This is sophisticated stuff, with great lyrics - and a couple of memorable tracks.

Highly Recommended.
