#62 - From Dublin
Updates
Getting back to work after a five week break was always going to be challenging - but throw in a four-day week and things get compressed down to a very busy week!
I now have a well established second brain running at work, with Claude Code helping me stay organised and accountable as well as delivering some impressive thought partnership as I manage my team. I experimented with a limited Claw this week, and I'm looking forward to seeing what I can delegate there.
Away from work, I've been getting myself organised and using some AI to help me prioritise and get my thinking straight. I also have decided to invest a couple of hours each week to some learning and I have a list of AI related courses to try and stretch my knowledge.
The quiz team suffered a narrow loss on Wednesday - we're in a post-season trophy competition, and the handicapping has given us some big deficits to manage, but we're having fun trying to close gaps.
Finally - had a great day yesterday, visiting the Dublin Coffee Festival to scout a new espresso machine and then seeing the marvellous Marlon Williams live at the Button Factory - my snap from the floor is at the top of this weeknote.
Reading. Dance Move by Wendy Erskine, a collection of short stories.
Recommended Music
This weeks recommendation is the excellent new album from electronica star - Joachim Spieth.
'Vestige' is a collection of 7 tracks from the intersection of Ambient, Dub and Electronica. I enjoyed this, and I'm pleased to say that it stands up to multiple listens, with a lovely open feeling that is optimistic and spring-like in places.
Highly Recommended.
(My usual tool for linking music seems to be dead - so using a Spotify link this week, you’ll find Vistige on every music streamer)
