#58 - From Cork
Updates
We’ve decamped to the People’s Republic of Cork this weekend - so I’m writing this in the hotel lobby the morning after a christening party for a friends baby.
This week I've been heads down getting ready for a 4 week sabbatical from work - every five years we're given the benefit of a 'recharge' break - so I've been tidying up loose ends and documenting what needs to carry on with my role.
In the background I've been preparing some of my projects for the break - onceposted.com is now fully live and getting some good traffic, so I have added a few features and queued up content for the next month.
The quiz team had a very close defeat on Wednesday - but I had a higher score than I'm used to so I was quite pleased with that.
Still Reading. Every One Still Here by Liadan Ní Chuinn - an excellent book of Short Stories from an Irish Author.
Recommended Music
My recommendation this week is a beautiful new album from an artiste I hadan't heard of before.
Evening, window by Miska Lamberg is a stunning album of ambient electronica - with repeationg themes and motifs - sometimes growing and deteriorating as you listen.
I've found this to be a gentle and meditative collection - and I'm enjoying it on repeat at the moment
Highly recommended.
