#56 - From Dublin
Updates
It's been another busy week! My entire leadership team were in Dublin and we had multiple meeting days that kept me fully engaged.
Away from work I spent some time thinking about building a second brain using AI and some tools that would allow me to share context on a more regular basis. I'm going to be implementing this at work first where I spend a lot of my time taking notes and connecting dots to make decisions.
It's an interesting field and I'm fascinated to see how this will develop over the next months and years.
One tool that I have started using (at work and home) is Superwhisper, which allows me to dictate directly into my Mac or phone using an LLM to tidy up my speech, eliminate filler words and speed up entry to well over 120 (accurate) words per minute.
Finally, I made my first ever Focaccia yesterday (above) using a recipe from Instagram and my air fryer. It turned out pretty good but I think there are some tweaks that will make it even better.
Still Reading. Every One Still Here by Liadan Ní Chuinn - an excellent book of Short Stories from an Irish Author.
Recommended Music
My recommendation this week is the album Canada by Placid Angles.
Placid Angles is the writing name of John Beltran from Ann Arbor in Michigan, and he's put together a nice collection of gentle, ambient electronica with only a few vocals included.
It's ideal for working and concentration. Highly Recommended
