Updates

Fully back to work this week, and into a busy cycle for annual reviews for everyone in the place. Managed to finish the week off with a trip to see the excellent Marty Supreme at the local cinema, and then to see Christian Löffler at the National Concert Hall last night (some pictures below).

Reading. Every One Still Here by Liadan Ní Chuinn - an excellent book of Short Stories from an Irish Author.

My wife shared this one with me earlier in the week, and I'm surprised I didn't see it myself as there are a couple of artists I love here.

This weeks recommendation is the soundtrack to 'Le Chant de Forêts' (Whispers in the Woods), a documentary made by French filmaker Vincent Munier about life deep in Wild Forests.

The soundtrack comes from Warren Ellis, Hildur Guðnadottir and with recorded sound from the documentary.

It's beautiful stuff and well worth your time...

A ★★★★★ review of Marty Supreme (2025)
First cinema watch of 2026. First five stars. Hot take - it’s not about ping pong.
A ★★★★★ review of Depeche Mode: M (2025)
This was never going to have anything less than five stars. Fantastic documentary.
