#43 - From Dublin
Updates
I missed a week. I'm not sorry. I was enjoying the last couple of days of holiday in Italy.
What a great trip - 10 days spent between Bologna, Venice, Verona and Milan, some lovely places with excellent food and some great memories. I'll write up the journey this week and some pictures.
Back at work this week, catching up and getting busy as we enter the last couple of months of the year.
Reading. Nick Cleggs 'How to fix the Internet'.
Live Music
Went to The Button Factory in Dublin last night to see Japanese post-rock band, Mono. An excellent show, crammed full of epic and hypnotic sounds.
They have a super live sound, with excellent drums and bass powering along with dual guitarists who create some wonderful sounds.
A few pictures from the show:

Movies Watched
Saw a couple of great films this week - House of Dynamite on Netflix and then to the local cinema to see the Springsteen flick. Both excellent films, and worth the time.

Recommended Music
Some great realeases this week, but the highlight for me is ICONOCLASTS by Anna von Hausswolff.
It's difficult to describe this, with elements of electronica, gothic vocals and even some jazz sax in the mix. There are collaborations with Iggy Pop, Ethel Cain and Abul Mogaard, so you can imagine its a wide ranging collection.
Highly recommended.
Note - I am using these Odesli embedded links for music recommendations on my site which allow you to choose your streaming platform and also find the artist links for vinyl purchases etc
