The Shortest of Poems

It's National Poetry Day in the UK, and Twitter is full of posts tagged #nationalpoetryday , its nice that for just one day more people are thinking about poetry.

I only know two poems by heart, this one:

โ€œCome Home.โ€ โ€” George McDonald - The Sweetest and Shortest of Songs

And this one from school:

โ€œEinsteinโ€™s eyes were filled with tears
when he heard about Hiroshima.
Mr. Tamiki had no eyes left
to show his griefโ€ โ€” Colin Rowbotham

Note - Iโ€™m indebted to Colin Rowbothams brother, who contacted me to correct a misattribution of this poem.
