# #15 - From Dublin

## Travel

We spent last weekend in London, to celebrate our sons birthday - there was a party on Friday night where I was honoured to play a back to back DJ set with the birthday boy. I don't think I embarrassed anyone as we smashed out some UK Garage. 

On Saturday we wandered the West End, visiting Selfridges and then walking down to Trafalgar Square to the [National Portrait Gallery](https://www.npg.org.uk/?ref=mattrutherford.co.uk) for a retrospective exhibition on [The Face magazine](https://theface.com/?ref=mattrutherford.co.uk). It was great to see covers and photography from a magazine I devoured in the 80's and 90's. We finished the day with dinner at Balthazar. 

On Sunday we met back up with our son for Mothers Day / Birthday celebration lunch at the excellent [Acme Fire Cult](https://www.acmefirecult.com/?ref=mattrutherford.co.uk) in Dalston. Highly recommended if you are looking for some interesting BBQ food.
