### 🔈 Stuff to Listen to...

🎧 This week's aural treat is the new soundtrack from Back to Black, a biopic about Amy Winehouse.

The death of Amy Winehouse upset me more than most, I thought she had a terrific voice and was an interesting, if destructive character. I still wonder what kind of music she’d have made if she’d conquered the demons.

Another film of her life has been made, and the soundtrack is really worth a listen. It has a combination of cuts from her discography and music used in the movie. There are some excellent tracks, including Thelonius Monk, The Shangri-Las, The Specials and Nick Cave - who contributes the theme tune.

It also contains one of my top songs of all time, the marvellous Donny Hathaway singing ‘I love you more than you will ever know’.

A lovely album and an excellent reminder of a great talent.
