*Welcome back, great to see you again!*

My goal is to help you get the best out of yourself. Each week, I seek out great content to support **our** personal growth. I’ll couple that with some links that I know you’ll find interesting AND a musical recommendation. This week, I'm also sharing [my monthly mixtape.](https://www.mattrutherford.co.uk/23-march-2024/)

Elsewhere, you can find my [daily notes here](https://www.mattrutherford.co.uk/tag/daily-notes/), and I’m [posting on Threads](https://www.threads.net/@matt.rutherford?ref=mattrutherford.co.uk) as well.

Thanks for joining me - now, onto the list!

**Monday Motivation**. Let this week be the one where you level-up your prioritisation skills, I’m refreshing us on some of the best methods to improve how you choose what to focus on next. [ This time around, I’m looking at the powerful Eisenhower Matrix, and how you can use it.](https://www.mattrutherford.co.uk/eisenhower-prioritisation/)

**Cannon.** Are you a manager? If so, you need to know that [you’re always carrying a cannon.](https://phildini.dev/youre-always-carrying-a-cannon?ref=mattrutherford.co.uk) With power comes responsibility, and your team need to know that they will get lots of warning before the cannon goes off. *Every manager should read this article regularly.*

**Talent.** [Mentorship, coaching, sponsorship](https://jacobian.org/2024/apr/1/mentorship-coaching-sponsorship/?ref=mattrutherford.co.uk). Great explanation of how each of these three different development tools work. The power of mentoring is proven, [here are the numbers that support it. ](https://guider-ai.com/blog/mentoring-statistics-the-research-you-need-to-know/?ref=mattrutherford.co.uk)

**Feedback**. What’s the best way to ask for feedback? Don’t. [Daniel Pink explains a much better thing to ask for.](https://www.tiktok.com/@washingtonpostwellbeing/video/7214822418102209834?ref=mattrutherford.co.uk) Apologies for the tiktok link, but I couldn’t find this anywhere else. You **don’t** have to sign up to watch. *I am 100% asking this question at work from now on.*

**Thinking.** [How ‘possibility thinking’ can help you solve almost any life problem](https://psyche.co/guides/how-to-use-possibility-thinking-to-solve-problems-creatively?ref=mattrutherford.co.uk). Some practical questions you can ask yourself to solve any impasse in your personal or professional life. *These questions can be really powerful ways to open your mind to possible solutions to the toughest of problems.*

**Skills.** [The best high-income skills to learn in 2024.](https://www.themuse.com/advice/high-income-skills-to-learn?ref=mattrutherford.co.uk) No surprise to see AI high on the list, but where else should you be focusing your time and attention? You might be surprised at the list.
