# #33 - From Dublin

### Updates

Dublin has been kind to me this week - in the last 8 days, I've tried two new restaurants and both have been excellent. 

Last week we went to [Little Forest](https://littleforest.ie/?splash=skip&ref=mattrutherford.co.uk) in Blackrock, which served up an excellent pizza and a really nice seafood risotto. Super stuff, and one we'll definitely visit again. On Friday night, I went to [Bar Italia](https://baritalia.ie/?ref=mattrutherford.co.uk) on Ormond Quay in the City Centre, with a friend and colleague from my days at Microsoft. Some really excellent conversation alongside some lovely food - we both had superb pasta. 

Side project work has been slow (maybe all the lovely italian food) - but I'm making progress. 

I've decided to read a few fiction books to cleanse my palate a bit - so I'm currently reading Borstal Boy by Brendan Behan.

### Recommended Music

My musical recommendation this week something new to me, from [Rebekka Karijord](https://rebekkakarijord.com/?ref=mattrutherford.co.uk) a Norwegian composer and musician who has just released 'The Bell Tower' on Bella Union. 

It's lovely stuff, formed entirely from human vocal samples, performed by the [Roomful of Teeth](https://www.roomfulofteeth.org/?ref=mattrutherford.co.uk) ensemble. 

What emerges is a beautifully organic album, which refers to our ever changing world and the perils it faces over time. 

Highly recommended.
